Role of JWG Consulting

• Provision of technical support for initial studies to determine Orkney location, evaluate costs, select contractors and assist with submissions for funding to selected organisations.
• Supervision of technical definition work to provide basis for design and build incentivised contract.
• Acted as Client Engineer in the small project team to develop the facilities, including cables; substation near the beach at landfall; data centre in existing premises, converted specifically and SCADA system and communications.
• Supervised commissioning and handover to EMEC Ltd, the company created to own and operate the asset.
• Acting as non-Executive Director to oversee Health & Safety in operating phase.
